A constant commitment between institutions and local administrations to implement the connectivity infrastructures that are necessary for development: this is the theme of a meeting promoted by Anci, Infratel Italia and the Ugo Bordoni Foundation during the National Assembly of the Association of Municipalities Italians in progress in Arezzo.The seminar, entitled "Connected Territories, Ultralarga Band and 5G for community development", ended with the intervention of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economic Development Mirella Liuzzi, who reiterated the importance of the most recent activities promoted by the Ministry and the opportunities they offer to the Municipalities: from the Sinfi to "Piazza Wifi Italia"." Piazza Wi-Fi Italia project, to date, sees over 2600 registrations, we invite all the Municipalities to join the project, especially the younger ones, in order to reduce the digital divide in our country and fight depopulation", underlined Undersecretary Liuzzi, who on the subject of SINFI added: "the MiSE has allocated 5 million to support Municipalities and local authorities involved in the activity of providing data, we are proceeding at a rapid pace to populate the infrastructure register and accompany the Municipalities in this path ".In the course of the interventions the concrete opportunities offered to the Municipalities by the Italian Strategy for the Ultra Broadband and promoted by the Mise through Infratel were deepened.Domenico Tudini, CEO of Infratel Italia in his report reiterated that "no municipality will be left out of public intervention for the internet access network, objective difficulties will be overcome".Tudini took stock of the work done and what to do, while Antonio Sassano, President of the Ugo Bordoni Foundation, highlighted the lights and shadows of the debate on the adoption of 5G.The conference was also attended by Riccardo Capecchi, Agcom general secretary, and several mayors; the voice of the local administrations was brought by Antonella Galdi, deputy secretary general Anci.
It is the Municipality of Bussero, Lombardia, the last administration has asked to join the project.

As part of the ‘’ Piazza Wi-Fi Italia ’’ Infratel ItalIa S.p.A. project in agreement with the MISE and in collaboration with the technical partner TIM and the Ministry for Ecological Transition, it will supply and install of WiFi Access Points in public hospitals that can request them through an email communication to hospitalwifitalia@infratelitalia.it
