The project underway by the Mise for digitization in the country focuses on a communication that highlights the capacity of the service and the possibility for citizens to compete in the WiFi.italia network. Free, free and widespread connection to unite people, in villages and cities, from north to south: this is the goal of the WiFi Italia project initiated by the Ministry of Economic Development and entrusted to Infratel Italia to bridge the digital divide in the Italian territory by intercepting the needs of local communities, with particular attention to the coverage of small municipalities and internal areas of the territory. A special was created in the magazine Lonely Planet Italia in the December 2021-January 2022 issue, illustrating sixteen wonderful Italian villages among those that have joined the WiFi Italia project.
It is the Municipality of Bussero, Lombardia, the last administration has asked to join the project.
The Yearbook traces the projects, the actions implemented and the results achieved in the course of 2022 to overcome the digital divide.
As part of the ‘’ Piazza Wi-Fi Italia ’’ Infratel ItalIa S.p.A. project in agreement with the MISE and in collaboration with the technical partner TIM and the Ministry for Ecological Transition, it will supply and install of WiFi Access Points in public hospitals that can request them through an email communication to hospitalwifitalia@infratelitalia.it
