The work of the Infratel Steering and Control Committee continues at the MiSE

On 14 January, a meeting of the Infratel Steering and Control Committee was held.

A meeting of the Infratel Steering and Monitoring Committee was held on January 14, set up with the aim of verifying the objectives set in the Ultra Wide Band Plan (BUL).

Among the participants in the meeting, dr. Marco Bussone, President of UNCEM, the National Union of Community Communities of Mountain Authorities, which discussed with the Committee on the implementation of projects aimed at overcoming the digital divide in mountain communities and promoting, through the adoption of new generation services, the growth and social and economic development of the aforementioned territories.

The Committee also addressed issues related to the progress of the work for the implementation of the BUL 2018-2020 project (for which a new public consultation is expected on the black and gray areas of the country for the next 21 January), of SINFI (the cadastre of underground infrastructures) and of the WiFi.Italia.it program execution plan, which has already started the executive projects for the creation of free wi-fi access points in 140 municipalities hit by the earthquake in 2016.

Finally, by the end of January, the counter procedure for municipalities below 2000 inhabitants will be started for the supply of WiFi.Italia.it Hot Spots.
