The issue of the magazine Plus, quarterly by MISE, is dedicated to the measures put in place by the Government and the various agencies to deal with the COVID-19 emergency.
An article, written by Ing. Francesca Debiase, is dedicated to the project "Piazza Wi-Fi Italia" developed by the Ministry of Economic Development in collaboration with Infratel Italia . The aim is to provide citizens with a free access service to the Internet, easy to use and based on a single public infrastructure of wireless type, spread throughout the country. Infratel Italia coordinates and manages the entire process of network construction and activation of the service, starting from the accession phase by the municipality, the installation of hotspot equipment, monitoring access through the authentication system and maintaining the network itself, providing assistance to the institutions involved for any technical problems.
It is the Municipality of Bussero, Lombardia, the last administration has asked to join the project.
The Yearbook traces the projects, the actions implemented and the results achieved in the course of 2022 to overcome the digital divide.
As part of the ‘’ Piazza Wi-Fi Italia ’’ Infratel ItalIa S.p.A. project in agreement with the MISE and in collaboration with the technical partner TIM and the Ministry for Ecological Transition, it will supply and install of WiFi Access Points in public hospitals that can request them through an email communication to hospitalwifitalia@infratelitalia.it
