Municipality of Dasà

We publish the speech by Raffaele Scaturchio, mayor of Dasà, in Calabria, where free hotspots have been activated and joins the Municipalities that have already joined the WiFi Italy Project.

“Dasà is one of the 50 municipalities in the province of Vibo Valentia. It rises in a luxuriant basin, full of olive trees, on the left bank of the Petriano stream. The name Dasà derives from the term in the Greek language, which was spoken until the mid-sixteenth century, whose meaning is: woody, wooded place. Its territory is 263 meters above sea level. The town was built in the 15th century and the name of the town of Dasà is reported for the first time in an Aragonese document dated 5 July 1466.

Our administration participates with conviction in the country's digitization process and joining the Wifi Italia project goes in this direction. Connectivity is an important right for the present and for the future of our entire community".
