We publish the speech by Stefano Micheli, Mayor of Rocca Sinibalda, in Lazio, where the free hotspots have been activated and in addition to the Municipalities that have joined the WiFi Italia Project.
We have joined the Wifi Italia project to be part of a public and free network, which can be a service for citizens and an opportunity for tourists who appreciate our territory.
Rocca Sinibalda is located in eastern Sabina, in the Turano valley, the natural corridor that from the south-eastern edges of the Rieti plain goes towards Carsoli through the Turano lake, surrounded by thick woods partially interrupted by grassy areas. Behind to the south-east stands the mountain group of Monte Navegna and Monte Cervia that separate it from the area of Lake Salto.
The Castle, dating back to 1084 in its original nucleus, which was rebuilt as a fortress by the architect Baldassarre Peruzzi at the behest of Cardinal Alessandro Cesarini in the 1930s, dominates the town with its defensive structure. Between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries it was a fief of the Mattei, the Lante della Rovere, the Muti Bussi and the Lepri families. In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries the interiors were refined with frescoes; since 1928 it has been classified as a national monument.
