Municipality of Boscotrecase

We publish the speech by Pietro Carotenuto, Mayor of Boscotrecase, in Campania, where the free hotspots have been activated and in addition to the Municipalities that have joined the WiFi Italia Project.

Boscotrecase is an Italian municipality that has over 10.000 inhabitants and is part of the metropolitan city of Naples. It is rich in history, starting from the Roman era. It belongs to the Vesuvius National Park and offers a splendid view over the entire Gulf of Naples.

The area upstream of the urban area hosts the vineyards from which the famous Lacryma Christi is produced and is also characterized by maritime pines, prickly pears, gorse and numerous types of orchids and epiphyllum that grow among greyish lava stones. Our town is famous for the production of wines, barrels and for the processing of lava stone. Participating in the Mise project, created by Infratel, Piazza Wifi Italia is a way to ensure that technology is at the service of citizens and tourists.
