Municipality of Lei

We publish the speech by Luigi Cadau, mayor of Lei, in Sardegna, where the free hotspots have been activated and in addition to the Municipalities that have joined the WiFi Italy Project.

Lei his a town of about 500 inhabitants in the province of Nuoro which rises on a series of hills located about 500 meters above sea level. In its territory there is the presence of numerous testimonies dating back to the pre-nuragic, nuragic, Punic, Roman and medieval times. In the territory of Lei there are several nuraghes, 2 domus de janas and 3 tombs of giants, while the small church dedicated to San Michele Arcangelo, once in the countryside and today in the center, dates back to the medieval period.

Framed by the Marghine mountain range, with peaks over a thousand meters, the town stands on a hill in a luxuriant area, rich in springs, streams and woods of chestnut, holm oak, downy oak, yew and centuries-old oaks. Its charm is linked to unique landscape views, which make it one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

Your adhesion to the WiFi Italia Project aims at enhancing the beauty of residents and tourists, but also at the opportunity - for citizens - to make the most of the services offered by the municipal administration, thanks to the development of digital technology. "
