PIAZZA WIFI ITALIA ARRIVES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BUDONI

Located on the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, Budoni has been gifted by nature with wonderful beaches, rolling hills but also villages rich in history and traditions. On the border between Gallura and Baronia, this small town has an ancient history that tells of the happy relationship between man and nature. The villages lying on the hills and the traditional stazzi testify to the first vocation of these places: the rural life of shepherds and farmers.

Today Budoni is a well-known holiday destination, with a modern network of accommodation facilities and services for seaside tourism. Just 30 kilometers south of the port and airport of Olbia, it is easily reachable with the state road 131 d.c.n. (4 lanes) and the SS 125.

For those arriving by boat, the port of Ottiolu offers a range of landing services, including shipbuilding and boat support activities. This seaside village a few kilometers from the town center, in addition to having one of the most beautiful beaches on the Budonese coast, has a pleasant promenade facing the harbor with shops, bars and restaurants for an aperitif or dinner overlooking the dock.

In the municipality of the Gallura Riviera, 6 hotspot points have been activated to allow free access to the web. Just register with the WiFi Italia app, created by the Ministry of Economic Development in collaboration with Infratel Italia. Allowing all citizens, residents and tourists, to connect for free and in a simple way through an app that then remains valid in thousands of other municipalities throughout the country: the municipal administration of Budoni has decided to join the "Piazza WiFi ”Italy, conceived by the Ministry of Economic Development and edited by Infratel Italia. 6 WiFi access points are already active in the Gallura municipality. More precisely: one in Piazza Italia, one in Piazza Giubileo, one in Piazza Berlinguer, one in the city school complex, one in the parish and one in the Stazzo Museum.

"We have chosen the most popular meeting places in our area, to meet the needs of users" comments the mayor of Budoni, Giuseppe Porcheddu. "We are confident that this service meets the needs of both summer tourists and our resident citizens and helps to achieve the goal of guaranteeing the right of free access to the network". To connect, simply download the free "wifi.italia.it" app and follow the registration procedure by entering your personal data. At that point, it will be possible to browse not only by connecting to the Budoni hotspots but the registration will be valid in the 4500 access points activated in thousands of Italian municipalities.
