"Thanks to the commendable initiative of 'Piazza Wifi Italia', it is possible, in the Municipality of Trequanda, to access the Internet for free. There are three access points: one at the Public Gardens of Trequanda, one at the Public Gardens of the hamlet of Castelmuzio, and one in the hamlet of Petroio, in Piazza San Pietro, near the Terracotta Museum.
To connect you need to download the WiFi Italia app and follow the registration procedure. Once the registration has been made, you will have free access to all the federated networks distributed throughout the country and to all the hotspots under construction in the Municipalities.
For our community this is a fundamental step to bridge the digital gap that often penalizes small municipalities. Trequanda, a village nestled in the Sienese hills on the border between the Valdorcia and the Crete, consists of three urban centers. The capital, whose historic center coexists with the bulk of the Cacciaconti castle, and the hamlets of Castelmuzio, a charming medieval village and Petroio, also a medieval village with a characteristic spiral structure.
The intact beauty of the surrounding landscape, protected with devotion from possible upheavals, has earned the Municipality the prestigious recognition of 'Historic rural landscape', issued by the MiPAAF (Ministry of Agricultural, Environmental and Forestry Policies). All this, combined with the quality of the typical products (wine, oil, but not only ..), makes Trequanda a center of great tourist interest. "
