“6 WiFi access points have recently been installed on the territory of the Municipality of Sustinente. Two of these are at the school buildings, one in Piazza Roma, one in Piazza Mercato, one at the sports field and the tennis court and another at Piazza Garibaldi in the hamlet of Ca 'Vecchia. The initiative was born from the intervention of the project "Piazza WiIFi Italia", strongly desired by the Ministry of Economic Development and curated by Infratel Italia, which has as its objective that of accessing all citizens of connection, for free and in a simple way through the application dedicated to a free and widespread WiFi network throughout the national territory. The "wifi.italia.it" app allows free access to all federated networks distributed throughout the country and to all hotspots under construction in the Municipalities; once the App is downloaded, just follow the registration procedure by entering some personal data and, once registered, it will be possible to navigate without the need to authenticate again.
The Municipality of Sustinente, the third municipality to see the project carried out in the province of Mantua, has decided to serve the main meeting places such as the sports facilities, the main squares and the stops of the most frequent public transport line. Sustinente is a small town located along the left bank of the river Po at the confluence with the tributaries Mincio from the north and Secchia from the south. Rural reality hides a centuries-old history that has left many visible signs.
In particular, it concerns the seventeenth-century village of Sacchetta, with the parish church and the oratory of the Cavriani family, one of the most important Renaissance families in the area, who lived in the Sacchetta until the twentieth century. Guardieri Gonzaga, right arm of the Gonzaga, lords of the Duchy of Mantova. This prevalently agricultural municipality is located in the far eastern edge of Lombardy on the border with Veneto, a few dozen kilometers from important art centers such as Verona, Mantova and Bologna, an excellent stop for cycle tourists and lovers of slow tourism.
