Piazza Wifi Italia: online membership is growing, 3480 registered municipalities

It is the Municipality of Cinto Caomaggiore, the last administration that has asked to join the project.

Free hot spot as activated this week in the Municipality of Ascrea,Lazio; Gerola Alta, Lombardia; Polignano a Mare e Specchia, Puglia;Saponara e San Piero Patti, Sicilia; Silea, Veneto.

6265 hot spots, including federated networks

1719 municipalities that signed agreements with Infratel (including hospitals - 1548 municipalities)

3462 the municipalities that have joined Piazza Wifi Italia Project (including hospitals - 3290 municipalities)

409.573 users of WiFi Italia app designed to connect to the network for free throughout Italy

To these data is added the network of Poste Italiane federated with WiFi Italia

7187 municipalities with post offices

In these months of Covid-19 emergency we understand the importance of efficient and widespread network services throughout the territory; therefore it is useful for municipalities to register online on the platform to request free hotspots to which citizens can connect by downloading the app WiFi Italia

WIFI ITALIA HOSPITALS 1674 access point

As part of the ‘’ Piazza Wi-Fi Italia ’’ Infratel ItalIa S.p.A. project in agreement with the MISE and in collaboration with the technical partner TIM and the Ministry of Innovation, it will supply and install of WiFi Access Points in public hospitals that can request them through an email communication to hospitalwifitalia@infratelitalia.it
