Municipality of Brindisi Montagna

We are publishing the speech by Gerardo Larocca, the first citizen of Brindisi Montagna, in Basilicata, that has decided to join the "Piazza WiFi Italy" and where the free hotspots are activated.

Brindisi Montagna is a small village in Basilicata that for years has decided to focus on tourism thanks to the many attractions present: the Fittipaldi-Antinori Castle, the San Demetrio Monastery, the Grancia Park and the Medieval Days, as well as meat production of quality, honey, dairy products and organic flours.

In the  social networks era, we know how much what we can still define as "word of mouth" and communication in general are important and the network is a significant, if not essential, factor for the growth of the country. For this reason, broadband and ultra-wideband are a great opportunity for Brindisi Montagna not only for those arriving in the center, attracted by the beauty of this corner of Lucania, but also for individual citizens, for businesses and public administrations present on the territory, which have long faced the problem of a technological infrastructure that is not always cutting edge.

This opportunity, thanks to the Ministry of Economic Development and Infratel Italy, is certainly not a point of arrival, but a starting point for a continuous, substantial and increasingly solid development for a village that dreams of projecting itself into an already highly possible future ".
